Just 7 km from the port and the town of Tinos, we have created two residences that surrender to the Greek light.
The light that in its passage transforms and enchants and gives a new dimension to the landscape.
A single slab with a planted roof, which houses or highlights raised volumes, constitutes the basic gesture of the composition of the work.
The volumes, either as enclosed or semi-open spaces, favour the scale of the whole and separate the dwellings from each other, giving them the necessary privacy.
With the exception of the raised cubes, which allow the creation of semi-basement spaces with natural lighting and ventilation underneath them and which form the above-ground parts of the complex, all other uses are located on the underground ground floor.
Entrance to each dwelling is through the common area, while private spaces are differentiated within the enclosed volumes and their imaginary extensions.
All bedrooms have private bathrooms or showers and openings with views to the sea or to private patios with planting.
In all cases, the living room is positioned in front, close to the glazed area, in order to benefit from the maximum view and direct access to the outdoor area with pergolas and planting and to the swimming pool.
In this way, the boundaries between open and closed are blurred and the sense of comfort and romanticism is enhanced by living in an ‘open’ house.
